REMEMBERING MAGGIE,As we entered March 2025, , the Walking Down Ranch family found ourselves mourning the woman who's hard work and inspiration in the White Mountains was well known. Margaret "Maggie" Heath Passed away , after a courageous battle with cancer.
With a father who served in WWII and a husband who served 12 years in Vietnam, It is not hard to see where Maggie found her inspiration. in 2014, after 7 years as president of the American Legion, Maggie decided to apply for a 501 (c) 3 and branch out on her own with a few of her local neighbors. Their focus was to hand out the necessities that that state benefits did not always cover. With grit and an immense amount of tenacity, Walking Down Ranch INC, was born. Maggie's vision was to see every Veteran in a forever home and to feel appreciated for all the sacrifices made to our Great Country. Her passion for her Cause will be missed, but Walking Down Ranch will live on and continue to fulfill her vision. Thank you Maggie November 1949-March 2025 |
In 2014, with the help of Al and Anne Aveneti, Maggie founded Walking Down Ranch in the garage of her home in Concho AZ.
