REMEMBERING MAGGIEAs 2024 dawned, the Walking Down Ranch family found ourselves mourning the woman who dreamed us into existence. Margaret Heath, known as Maggie here on the mountain, started with grit, and a vision. Maggie's vision was for a home for Veterans where they could rest, reset, and re-evaluate their lives. A place that could give them a hand up, rather than a handout.

In 2014, with the help of Al and Anne Aveneti, Maggie founded Walking Down Ranch in the garage of her home in Concho AZ.

Maggie? Although she can be a firecracker with her heart and dedication to giving Veterans support and going above and beyond that service, I greatly appreciate Maggie, and her family
